I HAVE A 100 PUBLISHED PIECES ON MY SUBSTACK??!!!
This feels so surreal. I don’t even know if this is something I should be celebrating, but you know what—fuck that. I’ll take a win wherever I can find one.
I started this Substack in August of last year, just throwing thoughts into the ether. Since then:
📝100 published posts
🗂️ 60 drafts (writers with more drafts than finished pieces are rolling their eyes at me right now)
👥 272 subscribers
And honestly? I’m so glad I started.
I’m not the most community-oriented person—social energy is hard—but I try to interact with the people I know here. I read so many incredible pieces when I remember to open the app, and every time, I’m blown away. You people are so, so inspiring.
Over time, The Yapper’s Corner has turned into a kind of public diary. It's helped me more than I can say, just writing down my thoughts and tossing them into the void. And weirdly enough, I'm kind of glad those more vulnerable posts don’t get that much traction. Sometimes it’s nice to whisper into the wind and have no one whisper back.
Top 10 Posts I’m Proud Of
If you’re new here—or just want to take a walk down memory lane—here are 10 posts I love (in no particular order):
My wish for the 100th
Here’s my tiny wish for post #100:
If you’ve ever liked something I’ve written, if any post made you laugh, cry, pause, or even just go “huh,”—share your favourite one with a friend. Just one. Someone who hasn’t heard of The Yapper’s Corner before. That’s it. That’s the ask.
Not for clout. Not for numbers. Just because I believe in the quiet power of passing along something that made you feel something.
Thank you for sticking around. Whether you’ve been here since post #1 or you just subscribed yesterday, you’re part of this weird little thing I’m building, and I appreciate you so so much.
Here’s to the next 100
